after Jean-Baptiste Pillement, Rococo Chinoiserie Hand-Tinted Prints, a pair
Jean-Baptiste Pillement (Lyon, 24 May 1728 – Lyon, 26 April 1808) was a French painter, best known for his etchings of romantic and highly stylized garden settings. His work influenced a taste for the rococo style and Chinoiserie.
These are two prints after Jean-Baptiste Pillement, and are hand tinted. They are in great condition. And the paper strips overlapping to create a matte are a charming touch. Frame measure 19.5” x 17.5”.
