Meiji Japanese Bronze Tsuba
A Japanese bronze tsuba from the Meiji period, with swirling clouds and a dragon whose body can be seen on both the front and the back of the tsuba. A tsuba is the handguard of a Japanese sword. They also help to balance the sword and served as a symbol of status when made with ornate designs.
