Jack Savitsky Adam and Eve Drawings
Jack Savitsky (American 1910-1991) is considered one of America's great self-taught artists. He lived in Pennsylvania and left school in the sixth grade to begin working in the coal mines with his father. His drawings and paintings are often within three themes - mining, Adam & Eve, and Americana.
This grouping of three drawings, sold as a set, is from 1986. Each drawing is 9" x 12" and all are signed and titled. His drawings have a very precise style. There is an order and balance to how each piece is structured. His work is in the collections of most major American museums including The Smithsonian, Museum of American Folk Art, and The National Museum of American Art.
