Glazed Pottery Figure of an Attendant, China, Ming Dynasty
This is a figure of an attendant that would have been placed in a tomb along with many others, to serve the deceased in the afterlife. The figure has a green glazed robe and traces of patina to the face and hat. The figure rests on a hexagonal base and measures 12” x 5” x 3”. Ming Dynasty 1368-1644.
