Brutalist Metal Sculpture

Brutalism is a term that brings to mind massive concrete forms and cold urban landscapes. There is no room for the delicate in this vernacular. Yet this naive little tabletop sculpture has pulled together the craft and material of brutalism and employed a light touch with shape and movement. A sturdy base of old lumber keeps the elegant stem securely rooted at 15 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches.
