Arequipa Pottery was produced from 1911 to 1918 by the patients of the Arequipa Sanatorium in Marin County, north of San Francisco. Arequipa's mission was to provide care for the working class women who were suffering from tuberculosis. The pottery was only made for a period of seven years and is highly collectible.
