Deux French Tableau De Chasse en Spelter Bronze Sur Médaillon De Bois by Paul Comoléra
The title sort of says it all. But I'll chime in to say these are very special and Paul Comoléra (1818 - 1897) was a sculptor of very high regard in Paris, who studied under Rude in Paris and exhibited at the Salon from 1847 until his death in 1897. His finely detailed and realistic models, particularly birds, have earned him a place among the most skilled animalier sculptors. 18" x 13"
