Alfano Dardari was an Italian surrealist painter with a fondness for these little still lifes. Quite well known in Italy, his prints were widely sold. This is one of my favorite little paintings. The star made of colored pencils is surprising and beautiful. There is always a smoking match or cigarette in his works.
